Five Journal entries for your novel: Between each set of readings, reflect on the character’s journey and the adversity they face.  Write a one paragraph explanation of their journey and tell what you think about that journey. (*)

 

1. In this first chunk of reading my man had to go through a lot as a youngin. He really lost his sight then. He had a wide variety of medical procedures which trust me sucks. I know what that’s like. He struggled to find a school and was bullied. And his mom was killed in a car crash. The only upside id that he did find a friend. And even with the disadvantaged he pinned a man in a wrestling match.

 

1. Here he had another surgery and had to get a prosthetic piece. Which i’ve had before so i don’t feel too bad for him yet. The only difference is that my sense that is affected is hearing. He wasn’t able to get a job here. But he did try to become a blind teacher. Which worked out because he succeeded his own way.

 

1. This is where he started training for the mountain. Some people were doubting him just because he is blind. But he didn’t care. So what did he do. Starts climbing the mountain. And if that isn’t hard enough he has to get another dog and train again with that one. Buty he still kept on going on up. He did his thing. He handled it all very well.

 

1. Well at this point He was just climbing most of the time. He was shutting up all those who were hating on him. Even though he was blind he kept on going. And another big thing was that his Gma just read that letter from his mom. At first he didn’t take it well. Then he turned that to motivation like a boss. Overall he has handled all the adversity thrown at him quite well. 

 

1. Well he finally gets to the peak of mount Everest. And when he does that he gets over his mental obstacle that says. “You can’t do this blind boy.” He breaks the barrier. When he finally reaches the peak he leaves all the haters and doubt at the bottom. He triumphed over his obstacles and completed his goal. Even after he was knocked down and beat down he still got up and did what he said he would.
